Christmas Rolling Pins, Eve Gets First Pick
I just finished more Christmas, oh, the workshop is bustling! The girls are helping me big time this year--they said they can't believe how tired they are--proof at last that my job is indeed exhausting and I'm not just a wimp!
These two early pins are one piece and handmade, they are $35 each. The two with the labels are factory made, not as old for $24 each.
This is a European pin and is $35, the bread board $28, the little sampler in the vintage frame is $38

My Living Room Ta Da! Moment
My living room is almost completely done (I still have to fix a small window, touch up paint and get the floors waxed)-- a triumph in blue and white, I think.

A Little Time Travel
Walked up 3rd St. in Muscatine yesterday, and actually had my camera to record. I'm sure there are other towns with amazing old houses out there, but I haven't seen any to match these Mississippi River front homes of the 1800s. Most of them are so large, it was hard to get them in the camera frame. I added a few odds and ends of pretty windows and iron fences and flowers. It was a most beautiful fall day here in eastern Iowa.
