Hopping Down the Bunny Trail

I just finished some eggs and an antique bunny that I repainted, I am very happy with the results. The easter eggs are $16 a dozen (that includes shipping), the muffin tin of quail size eggs is $28 plus shipping, the tin colander filled with quail size eggs is $24 plus shipping and the bunny is $50 plus shipping.

A Day in Cedar Rabbits

We spent the afternoon in Cedar Rapids yesterday, ever to be known as Cedar Rabbits, as when the girls were little, no matter how distinctly I tried to say Rapids, they would smile and nod and say "Yes, I know, Cedar Rabbits". This, of course, reminds me of Anna's secret toddler language that only I could understand. My mom was not grandma no matter how we tried to get her to say it, grandma was "Bo", Aunt Mary was "Bopie". I remember sitting down with Anna and saying slowly, "Say MAAAARRREEEE"--she put her hands on the side of my face and said slowly "BOOOOOPPPPPEEEE".

Back to my antiques...I got a bunch of early gorgeous spoons, one of my great antique loves. I also got the last pantry jar in town and some really pretty stoneware pieces. It is quite out of season, but I couldn't pass up the feather tree fence--the girls and I are planning a fairy garden this year, wouldn't this be perfect around it?

Tiny and Pricey

What to do when the winter blahs are ever present, economy in the garbage, ennui abounds? Well, go antiquing! We went to Mt Vernon yesterday and had the best of luck finding so many beautiful things, here are the mashers that came out of a museum collection, and the make me sigh tiniest ever tins (they are darned expensive for something so bitsy, but I just couldn't resist--the cup and plate will be $28, the pitcher $48), I love the baby tin type, look to see mama in the corner; and the early butter pat press has a thistle design that is so pretty. We visited Carolines Schoolhouse, First Brick Antiques, Polly Anns of course, and Alice's Wonderland (where gorgeous beads and scrapbooking are mixed in with funky and exceptional antiques and lots of cats sleeping on the tables!)--it was a good day.

I am getting photos done while the sun shines, lots of odds and ends to list, not sure when I'll get to doing them though!

Playing House

I usually keep my ebay photos to only things I have for sale, but I couldn't resist adding some of my favorite things from around the house to the background for these rolling pins, they are some of my very best pins, but have never sold, so hoping the inspirational group will help!

Easter Things

I just watched the superbowl ad for the Clydesdales, the one with the baby pony, and I swear, it made me cry! I am not a sports fan and thank goodness didn't marry one either, so we will be skipping the actual superbowl, but I do like the commericials.

Here is a little bit of vintage Easter ready for the shop...
