It has been a typical January, trudging through the gloomy days, dealing with ice and snow, falling on ice and snow-- oh, does it hurt to sit down! I have been trying to keep my mind busy with creating, which has kind of worked, but I really need a dose of sunshine.
I did go on a quest to find German kitchen toys and ended up ordering some from actual Germany (still awaiting that shipment). I found a few things from my Iowa dealers at the frozen in the ice show in Anamosa last week, so glad it was worth venturing out into the arctic.
I have also been wrapping things in blue paint and feedsacks and calico--fabric scraps are everywhere!

Ready for Something New
I am ready to take down Christmas now, I thought it would be cheery left up, but it turns out that it is kind of depressing. Onward and upward, I guess. Today wasn't too terrible on the weather front, so I took a bunch of photos. Here are my listings:

Filling the Shop
Christmas goods have still been selling, so I am leaving them up for another week, then packing them away. In the meantime, I have been getting a few things painted and wrapping up anything that gets in my way with all my early blue calico scraps. Winter is already getting depressing--I think I usually make it through January before I start sighing so much, but maybe it is always like this.
