My name is Elaine, I've been selling antiques and creating primitive crafts for more years than I care to think, thought I'd start a blog just to share some of my creations. I live in Iowa and love the prairie most of the time (right now the snow and wind are blowing, and I am dreaming of palm trees). The mountains may be beautiful, but I love being able to see for miles, you can breathe here on the plains!

I am enamored of the country style of American antiques, much prefer the most humble of those, especially kitchen and pantry wares. I can't think of anything more beautiful than a chipped old crock filled with wildflowers sitting on a scrubbed pine kitchen table. I sell my creations on Ebay, you can find me under user name 6stringbluesman. No, I don't play the blues, my husband does. He started the ebay thing and I just took over. I get kind of obsessed with collecting and changing antiques. My latest must haves are dark tin nutmeg graters and whisk brooms, I cannot get enough of them. My biggest antique love is bowls of all kinds, blue stoneware is a favorite, and I will not rest until I own all the wood dough bowls.
